Currently, we are seeing issues with in-world presence, object e-mails, group chats, logging, and other things related to the deployment. Please watch here for updates as they become available.

[UPDATE 12:52 PM on 4/01/08] All the gremlins have been removed and everything is working now. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

We are experiencing various inworld issues at this time, such as TP failures, Transactions, Logins, etc. We are aware of this problem and are working to resolve this as quickly as possible.

[ALL-CLEAR 22:23 PST] Phone Support service has been restored. Thank you for your patience!

[UPDATE 4:50 PM PST] All calls have been shut down temporarily. We hope to restore service late this evening. Live chat and ticket support are available.

[UPDATE 3:26 PM on 4/01/08] Phone Support Issues are still on-going and is still being addressed. Hold times can be up to 30 minutes at this time. Ticket submission and live chat is readily available via the Support Portal. Thank you for your continued patience.

[UPDATE 1:59 PM on 4/01/08] We are still working to resolve the phone support issues. Phone lines are operational but are currently running at a reduced capacity. Callers may experience long hold times and error messages. Thank you for your patience.

[UPDATE 11:35 AM on 4/01/08] Everything has returned to normal except for phone support. We are expecting phones to be working again in approximately 10-15 minutes. We are working on that and will keep you posted.

[UPDATE 4:30 PM PST] TP should begin to work again. Additionally, map search and SLURL are having difficulties at this time. We are working on this and will keep you posted as this is resolved.

We are experiencing Inworld issues at this time. We are aware of problems with failed transactions, items lost, TP issues, ghost prims. Do not attempt any transactions until further notice.

Second Life Maintenance performed today, Wednesday, January 9th 2008 has been completed.  Thank you for your patience.

Phone support will be down Dec. 28th from 2-4pm PDT for maintenance. This may be resolved sooner. We will keep you posted on the status as its available. Our live chat support and ticket support will remain available.

Second Life recently switched to a new “All” search that functions similarly to web search engines like Google. Today I discovered an issue that leads to some residents, groups and places not being included in the search. Classifieds and events are not affected by this issue. I wanted to share this issue while I work on the solution.

We had Snowman Build Contest in Voss the other day. We are headed your way too!

Thursday evening, Sejong and I will be hosting an hour-long snowman building contest, followed by a round of quiz questions and a Winter Festival Dance.

Thursday, 27 December: 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm Pacific

Build guidelines:

• Entries must meet Community Standards
• Maximum 100 prims per entry
• Maximum dimensions for entries are 8m x 8m x 8m
• Entries must be built during contest, no pre-builts!
• Build time ends promptly sixty minutes after announced start time
• Starting on time is encouraged, but walk-ins are welcome (depending on remaining build space)
• This is a Linden-judged event, judging concludes Thursday, winners announced Friday, 4 January ‘08

First prize: L$5,000

Second prize: L$2,500

Third prize: L$1,000

After the build time, the quiz format is Last Avie Standing, one prize to be awarded.

Thank you for your outstanding participation and both unique and seasonal snowman entries in our contest. As you may be aware, there is a 1st place prize awarded to the “best of the best” in this competition. We Lindens had a very difficult time voting for which entry should get the L$5,000 1st Place Prize.

Instead of 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place entries, we wound up with a three-way tie! Congratulations and L$5,000 each to:
