[RESOLVED] - LindeX Issues

Our hard-working technical colleagues have identified the issue and restored the LindeX to normal functioning. Please feel free to utilise this as normal.

Please accept our apologies once again whilst we worked on this.

Whilst we are seeing some resident L$ purchases being successfully applied, the LindeX buy and sell difficulties are continuing. Please avoid buying or selling any L$ at this time. Our operations and web colleagues are still working on the issue. Thanks for your patience while we wrestle with this.

[1:25 am Pacific]

For the time being please refrain from using the LindeX to place L$ buy or sell orders. We continue our efforts to resolve this issue and apologize for any inconvenience.

[11:40 pm Pacific]

We are looking into reports from residents who have experienced difficulties trying to use the LindeX to buy and sell L$. It is still safe to make resident to resident L$ payments from within Second Life, but for the time being please avoid placing any buy or sell orders from our website or within Second Life.

[STABILIZED] Gridwide Slowdowns

Performance has been stable for over an hour.   The Operations team will be monitoring for further signs of trouble for the rest of the weekend.

[UPDATE 4:24 p.m. Pacific]

Performance is looking better, but there’s a bit of work to be done yet resynchronizing a database instance. We apologize for the continued inconvenience.

[UPDATE 1:24 p.m. Pacific]

The issue is identified and our Ops Team is working hard on it. We will let you know as soon as it’s done.

[RE-OPENED 11:52 a.m. Pacific]

And yet again, the issue has raised its ugly head. Our Ops Team is already working to resolve it.

We will keep you posted on the progress.

The issue is resolved, if you are still experiencing problems please restart Second Life.

It snuck back up on us, ops has been notified and are working on it.

[RESOLVED 10:40 Pacific] This issue is now resolved! If your inworld L$ balance shows as Loading… then please restart Second Life.

Temporary service outage

[1:45AM Pacific] The remaining regions will be offline for at least a couple more hours according to Ops.

[11:56PM Pacific] More regions are back online and the list of offline regions has decreased to 500.

[11:05PM Pacific] Ops has found this to be a networking infrastructure related problem. Progress is being made and the list of offline regions is decreasing.

At approximately 9:25PM Pacific 1,200 regions have gone offline. We are currently investigating this outage and will keep you updated!

[RESOLVED @ 9:32PM Pacific] This issue has been resolved by our technical team. I’ll remain inworld to keep an eye on things. Thanks everyone for your patience and have a good evening!

We are experiencing gridwide slowdowns that may cause issues with search, mapping, teleporting, payments, asset operations and display of inworld L$ balances.

Our technical team has been notified and is currently investigating.

In the meantime, please avoid making any inworld transactions and operations on no-copy assets.

[Update 12:20 PM 08/27/07]
[Resolved] Our Billing and Concierge phone support has been restored. Thank you for your patience.

[Update 10:27 AM PDT 08/27/07]
Work continues to return phone service to our Billing and Concierge Teams. While some calls are now successful, both teams are operating at a reduced capacity. We have also received reports of calls being ended mid-call. Hopefully this will be resolved soon, and we will keep you posted. Thank you for your patience.

We are currently experiencing difficulties that may prevent customers from contacting our Billing and Concierge phone lines via telephone. Please feel free to contact us via our Support Portal via Live Chat or by submitting support ticket.

At 8:00PM Pacific approximately 900 regions went offline for a short period of time. Most of these regions have been brought back online and Ops is working to restore service to the remaining offline regions.

Ops has resolved this issue!

It turned out to be a hardware related problem. There was a hard disk in a RAID that failed and it had to be replaced.

[5:00 PM Pacific] In-world searches for Places and Groups have been re-enabled!

[3:11 PM Pacific] The Operations Team is taking the final steps to return the Grid to normal status. We hope to announce a full resolution shortly.

At approximately 1:40 AM Pacific in-world searches for Places and Groups have been disabled as we work to resolve issues with the Grid.

We will keep you informed, thanks for your patience!

This afternoon power outages in San Francisco have been affecting our offices and local co-location facilities causing widespread grid issues. Residents may be unable to login and experience other in-world issues. Our Support Portal and billing phone lines may also be down during this time.

We are also aware of delays in payments of group dividends and weekly stipends. While we believe most payments should be completed by this point, further research into the state of stipends and dividends has been delayed by the power outages.

[RESOLVED 6:15pm] The remaining offline regions are now back up and running, this issue is resolved!
