We’ve experienced a hiccup in our database that has resulted in Search, Transaction Histories and other features within Second Life not working.
We are working to restore functionality to these features as quickly as possible and apologize for the inconvenience this has caused.

We are aware of multiple intermittent issues and currently working to resolve them.
Website related issues include the Friends List not working and difficulties logging into the Support Portal. Within Second Life residents are having difficulties viewing group members list and periodically seeing “Can’t Authenticate” error messages when purchasing land, objects or L$.
We are sorry for the inconvenience this has caused and will post any updates to the Official Linden Blog as they become available.
[RESOLVED @ 1:27AM Pacific] The troublesome server has been repaired and we have verified that accounts on this server can rez objects and connect to Second Life. We apologize for the inconvenience this caused and wish you all a good morning!
Thanks to everyone who notified us of this issue! One of our servers is having troubles, that have resulted in a handful of residents being unable to rez objects, or connect to Second Life. This is currently being investigated and we will keep you notified.

[2:10 AM Pacific] As many of you may already be aware, there are currently issues with search, mapping, teleporting, display of inworld L$ balances and other features within Second Life.
We are working to restore functionality to these features as quickly as possible and apologize for the inconvenience this has caused.
Monday [2:55 PM PST] We’ve just upgraded the log database server software, which we hope will make things more stable for Residents in Second Life. As more information becomes available regarding this issue, we will post it here to keep you updated. Thank you for your continued patience.
Monday [5.14 AM PST] We posted earlier that this issue was resolved and we regret that this is not the case. Residents will continue to experience occasional login issues, etc. Our apologies for the inconvenience. We’ll do everything we can to sort this out.
Saturday [6:10pm Pacific] We’ve experienced multiple issues within Second Life today as the result of recurring database crashes. This has happened approximately four times today, in each case everything was restored within 30 minutes.
This has resulted in intermittent login issues, regions being unreachable and other features within Second Life not working, such as Search.
We are sorry for the inconvenience this has caused and will post any updates to the Official Linden Blog as they become available.
[3:00am PST] I’ve just confirmed that Ops gave our database a gentle nudge and everything appears to be humming along happily. If your L$ balance continues to show as Loading… then please exit Second Life and log back in.

[1:25am PST] Thanks to everyone who alerted us about gridwide issues affecting search, mapping, teleporting, display of inworld L$ balances and other features within Second Life.

[5:13AM PDT] The situation is continuing and we are making efforts to resolve things as quickly as we can. Apologies.
[4:13AM PDT] We’re continuing to work on this issue and apologise for any inconvenience this is causing. We’ll keep you updated.
[3:05AM PDT] Ops has identified the problem as an intermittent networking issue and is taking corrective action.
As of 1:20AM PDT approximately 1,100 regions are offline as the result of a grid infrastructure failure. Until a fix is implemented, residents may experience difficulties teleporting and possibly other issues within Second Life. Ops has been notified and is currently working to resolve this issue.

This morning at approximately 2:50 am Pacific we experienced a database hiccup that prevented residents from being able to connect to Second Life. Ops was notified, quickly responded and corrected the problem. Thank you for your patience and we apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.
