Operations is almost finished addressing the issue. We’re down to about a dozen regions which are still showing one or more of these problems.

There are a few regions which are currently experiencing issues with teleporting, rezzing, loading and/or changing appearance, loading inventory, and transactions. We are working to return these regions to good health as soon as possible. In the meantime, if you are experiencing any of the issues mentioned above, please refrain from making transactions and rezzing valuable objects in those regions until the issues are resolved. We will keep you updated in this post as the situation progresses.

[RESOLVED] Asset Server Issues

[RESOLVED 5:12pm PDT] Logins are restored and the issues have been resolved. Since the asset cluster needed to be rebooted anyway, we took advantage of that reboot to do a small amount of maintenance that had been waiting for such an opportunity… which will hopefully prevent this from taking place in the future. We apologize for any inconveniences this may have caused.

[Update 3:55PM PST] Logins have been temporarily disabled. We appreciate your patience while we work to resolve this issue as quickly as possible.

We are currently experiencing problems with our asset servers. While we work on resolving this issue, it is highly recommended that you do not make any purchases or transfers or rez objects until this problem is solved. We will keep you updated in this blog post as the situation progresses.

[Resolved] Support Portal Outage

[Resolved 6:27pm] The problem has been resolved, residents should have access to the Support Portal now. Thank you for your patience.

Our Support Portal is experiencing some technical difficulties at the moment. The Portal should still allow residents to log in as a guest to look at Knowledge Base articles, but other features are temporarily unavailable. We’ll keep this post updated until the situation is resolved.

[RESOLVED] Login Difficulties

[UPDATE 15:04 AM PST] Our Ops team has resolved all login issues. Enjoy your Second Life, and thank you for your patience!

[UPDATE 12:11 PM PST] Operations is still closing in on the database issue which is causing the login trouble. Since logins for both the Website and the SL client are authenticated centrally, residents who don’t have an active session on the Website may need to retry more than once to open a session for the Support Portal.

[UPDATE 8:25 AM PST] It appears that some residents are experiencing intermittent failures to login and may need to attempt to login more than once. Our apologies for the inconvenience. We are monitoring the situation and hope to resolve the issue in due course. -Matthew

[UPDATE 7:00 AM PST] Login problems temporarily returned for some residents recently, but things should be resolved once more. We apologize to those of you who may have experienced problems logging in. -Chiyo

[Resolved 7:35 PM PST] Logins and teleporting have been restored.

Second Life residents may currently be experiencing some difficulties with logins and teleporting. We are aware of this issue and are working to resolve it as quickly as possible. We appreciate your patience and we will keep this post updated as the situation progresses.
