Every day the transactions are halted. Now one may point to the asset server but this did not happen regularly till you did this server update. I have also been crashing regularly since this update.

Two days I have had to reset elevators that stopped working, elevators that have been operating for six months straight without a problem. When you went to do this update a week ago and had to turn back the clock, that should have told you something. Playing with it a couple more days and then pushing it through a week later was a BAD idea.

I just got done canceling my classified ad for this next week as this last weeks ad has done nothing. Sales since this update are down 80%. You understand that LL, 80%. Next step is dropping my mainland property and premium account to compensate for this loss. You are creating an environment that is not supporting business.

Words can not express how disgusted I am with SL this week. I hope this Havok 4 upgrade will also dump this latest code you applied to the servers. Also can I suggest you do this stuff at the beginning of the week so there is at least a chance you can fix it by the weekend, typically the busiest days of the week.

This RC viewers are a big problem also. People are using them thinking they are going to work better then the regular viewer. They don't understand these are beta buggy POS's. LL needs to point this out much better then they are or start taking their reliability a little more serious. Way too many people are using these RCs and then a buggy one goes live and too many people suffer. They need stern warnings that these are 'Test" viewers and be prepared to go back to a regular viewer if you experience problems.

Viv and so many others who have mentioned, yes, the bots I think will have to go. Too much DB load now, it has gotten to a serious level.

@69 Vivienne: Second Life is not really comparable to usual 3D applications. That's why I wouldn't do an estimate of time share myself. The viewer has to do a lot of stuff that normal 3D games and applications don't, like transforming primitive shapes in realtime, streaming network content, dynamically changing the surrounding etc. So, without doing a proper timing and profiling analysis, all numbers here are speculative.

SL shouldn't use gigabytes of memory, that's obvious. A lot of people have complained about memory leaks in the viewer, and this might lead to huge consumption of RAM. I didn't run a memory check myself yet, but I also see the SL process grow in memory over time. It's something that needs to be fixed, and I'm sure, Linden Lab is aware of this.

Why yes you fixed the asset array haha no you just shuffled the deck again now other things are missing from inventory. Time has come to allow only live players in the game computer driven bots have no place here creating load as well as the campers. I realize because you make it nearly impossible for a new player to earn any money in this game they camp in order to have a few lindy's to play with but enough is enough.

The concurrence is an on going game they have to play when I started there was a concurrence of 2500 and they had the same problems then 10k 20k and so on it always catches up just takes time .

All in all the game is still a nightmare with all the ongoing never solved bugs not to mention the ones that get reintroduced because no one ever seems to read their notes.

Of course this is the weekend again and the game will not perform well as the weekends have the highest load.

The system cannot handle 50,000 bots and campers as well as 10,000 "active" people who keep this running with their fees and get annoyed by the ongoing and frequent blackouts, never fixed and latest client bugs and all this. Too obvious.

lol, asset cluster reboot. When will they realize, you can't handle billions of transactions on a wonky database server cluster. I could reboot too when the transactions get so backed up that they will never recover, pay me for that job.

@80
If you are still putting good money over bad towards this GAME, and yes I said GAME, then you get what you deserve. Not that I want to see you lose your money but come on, we've known forever these problems existed. You think they are going to get better? Get your head out of the sand.

On Topic - The server code was working fine till the concurrency went above 60k, like everyday.

This is beyond a joke now....these issues are completely ruining the game. I agree with some of the comments above...it is about time LL finally resolved these underlying issues instead of trying to patch over the cracks. It has not been this bad for a year. I am now seriously considering cutting my investment in SL for good.....enough is enough.
