Mono Beta Refresh 2
Thursday, February 7th, 2008 at 3:14 PM by: babbagelindenThe Mono regions on the beta grid were updated with a new simulator binary today that resolved the following issues:
* SVC-1409 llUnescapeURL crash
* SVC-1331 Floating point fed to conditional causes error
* SVC-1330 Typecasting to boolean inconsistent
* SVC-1422 llHTTPRequest calls not going through
* SVC-1378 NaN handling is strange
* SVC-1411 Reemergence of SL-31252
* SVC-1452 Float constant parsing in compiler is wrong
* SVC-1377 1.4e-45 is improperly parsed to zero by the compiler
* SVC-1353 Broken Script Memory constraints
We hope to see you at the office hours in Sandbox Goguen MONO on the beta grid tomorrow at 3PM or next Wednesday at 8AM.
Thanks again for the great response to the Mono beta test, especially to Strife Onizuka who contributed a patch to fix SVC-1377.
[UPDATE: Due to a configuration problem, Mono scripts were disabled after the deploy, this has now been resolved. Apologies for any inconvenience caused.]

Wooot. Way to go Linden lab!

I try to keep this table up to date. It allows you to sort jira bugs and scan for an already existing bug before heading to the jira website itself. Many find it easier than looking at jira directly. Enjoy.

Please, please, please reduce the lag on some sims. CoLA, Creeve Town to name two, i can’t goto cos it so bad. Other sims are ok. It is not my pc. Although you get lag a bit, Some sims are just a waste of time going to.

Woot it got merged in ^_^ *does a little dance*
I don’t seem to be able to check the Mono checkbox, it’s grayed out.
February 7th, 2008 at 4:56 PM
unable to log into SL ??
February 7th, 2008 at 4:57 PM
Nice to see progress, but until you fix SVC-1369, which breaks many scripts, many of us cannot participate in the testing.
February 7th, 2008 at 5:01 PM
i can’t log innnn help :’(
February 7th, 2008 at 5:03 PM
hmmm how come I’m being forced to download a new RC viewer and there’s no blog to say so?
February 7th, 2008 at 5:03 PM
i cant log in either right now…and really wonder about the ability and interest of SL in monitoring and correcting real time performance…who runs this place and what kind of personal and professional standard do they have?
February 7th, 2008 at 5:05 PM
i can’t log too
February 7th, 2008 at 5:05 PM
Yep, can’t log in. Something is wrong.
February 7th, 2008 at 5:05 PM
Yup. Log-ins are failing again.
February 7th, 2008 at 5:06 PM
Hum.. By fixing this did it break the main grid? I cant log in.. Must have unplugged something? I hope it is fixed soon.
Please Lindens Let me in the Main grid
/me knocks on the door….. hello is anybody in there?
February 7th, 2008 at 5:06 PM
Can’t login!
February 7th, 2008 at 5:06 PM
It’s 5pm SLT, someone probably flipped the wrong switch when going home for the night.
February 7th, 2008 at 5:07 PM
Ugh, when does linden lab finally realise not to mess with something that is working? I could not use landmarks, got some strange message i never had before. so i decided to relog, now it doesn’t logg back in (loads about 10% -20%, then holds still indefentedly without going further) My girl is in SL tho, just sending her messages by e-mail).
February 7th, 2008 at 5:07 PM
oo So glad I’m not the only one knocking on the main grids door..
February 7th, 2008 at 5:07 PM
omggg please Lindens! i SO need to login… do something! x)
February 7th, 2008 at 5:07 PM
Same sitch as above for me.
February 7th, 2008 at 5:07 PM
“Despite our best efforts, something unexpected ha gone wrong.” When I first joined the SL community I was told to expect the unexpected.
February 7th, 2008 at 5:09 PM
@20 Same here - or wait for 5 minutes for nothing to come up but the logging in screen.
February 7th, 2008 at 5:09 PM
I know of at least three people who have been trying to log in for the last 15 minutes. Unsuccessful all.
February 7th, 2008 at 5:13 PM
Looks like no SL til tomorrow morning >;3
February 7th, 2008 at 5:14 PM
What I find funny is that the users are quicker to post about the problem than LL labs… Shouldn’t there be a blog up on this, or some kind of notice?
February 7th, 2008 at 5:16 PM
This is bull. *tapping finger on keyboard impatiently*
February 7th, 2008 at 5:16 PM
@15 they suppost to keep there hand off the switches and have a night crew for cases like this, when it goes wrong. probably have it.
@20 you espected something else then? didn’t think that it would be smooth all the way did you? it’s SL :p think about crashes and people unable to logg in.
@21 as i said, i didnt got it past 10% - 20% of the load process. I think it might be one of the servers (what’s new?)
February 7th, 2008 at 7:51 PM
well that was fast O_o.

Is the secondlife website down? I am unable to even bring the site up. and I have been dealing with computer support from hp and nortons anti virus all day, making sure my computer is not the problem. The most upsetting thing is I have recieved no help from SL at all. I keep getting dead links to there stupid website that doesn’t even work. The Nortons anti virus people and HP people spent 2 hours trying to get my secondlife to work! My point is they shouldn’t have to do OTHER PEOPLES work for them!
Can anyone tell me what is going on???
