Oh right, I forgot about "Integrity" that alone has me rolling in the aisles.

Any news on when Europeans might be able to actually verify, or is that actually going to prove to be impossible with our data protection laws?

Or will you just roll it out anyway regardless as usual?

How can we safeguard our accounts from Linden Lab?

Web site always down (if you can't run one of those, how do you expect to do it with a complex database system?)

Money missing, inv missing, objects poofing...

Desdemona Enfield
Aside from the password security issue, is not the use of Movable Life a violation of the SL TOS?

I believe Linden Lab's (unofficial?) position is that they "can’t encourage you to use" hosted viewers (see this post - fourth paragraph under "Acknowledgements"). However, given I haven't been banned yet, they also don't appear to ban you for running or using such services.

Essentially, it's a personal decision. But Linden Lab would really, really like it if you decided to keep your password to yourself.

Seems to me Jeremy has accomplished something interesting here,

Divide and Conquer, LOL

People have started bitching at each other and forget to attack the Lindens, LOL, more work for Jeremy and maybe even a promotion for keeping the focus off LL and have the people concentrating on each other's issues instead.

Greetings Jeremy,

A few of my friends have been playing with Movable Life (moveablelife.net), which seems to be a gateway that provides a web browser interface into SecondLife. The catch is, of course, that you must provide them with user name and password so that their systems can log in as you.

Aside from the password security issue, is not the use of Movable Life a violation of the SL TOS?

This is what "Closed Comments" results in....
Luckily, this may be in Jeremy's baliwick:

Jeremy Linden: "I am responsible for knowledge regarding how to use Second Life and its associated services. "

http://blog.secondlife.com/2008/02/01/fix-may-cause-problems-for-scripts-relying-on-long-object-names-and-descriptions/
Matthew Linden: "As part of the rolling restart we implemented a fix for an issue on the Public Issues Tracker, SVC-997."

Can someone tell me why the "Public Info Tracker" refuses to allow me (even when logged in) to view the contents of SVC-997? I'd like to know what this fix is that's breaking content.
