Its lunch time at Linden Labs. Rolling restarts will happen before log ins are fixed.

What annoys me is that I had a live prformance planed for noon, across 3 sims and advertised weeks in advance. even if i could log in I would have to hide from the angry mob. This is just not fun any more.
It is becoming an emotional and financial drain.

Rolling Restart - Tuesday, Nov. 6th

We’ll be upgrading the server systems making up Second Life on Tuesday, November 6th. This update has a number of bug fixes and some new functionality.

The upgrade will not require any planned service outages. No new viewer will be required.

Just the fact that there is a bug fix targeted to one user is hilarious. I love it.

And I must say, this is the first log-in issue like this I’ve had in many weeks. Either things are getting better, or the Linden’s need to brace for an imminent and massive multi-point failure.

(2) land sale internal data not being cleared correctly. The former was important to have out in case of an emergency (e.g. hardware failure); the second was causing lots of manual effort for Lindens and fixing it sooner rather than later was beneficial.

This still is not fixed, as land can still be set in estate/region to allow for sale then taken out not to allow for sale but the land sale board does not take it out. that has only been a problem since January. We told Jack Linden about it then but all he cares about is pushing out mainland ghettos and dropping land value to get suckers to join SL cause all the long term SLers are leaving.
