"""""which effectively knocked out all furniture creators(for a start)""""

After a few weeks in SL each will be able, to create their own stuff and houses etc. there is no possibility anymore to ear money with sl, because there isnt enough money at the newbies

chatted to the great concierge service yesterday... a linden said he be there "just gotta clean up here"... guess what, still waiting for him lol.

Apart form that, for business this new website is good. Sure the oldschool residents are put off by it and yeah of course you are cause "you build the grid" or what is on it and available. but what you see on the new site is plain business english.. dont worry about it.

This seems right on par with Anshe Chung's recent takeover of Slexchange.com and her subsequent special 10L furniture category, which effectively knocked out all furniture creators(for a start) on that site and in SL. Here, http://www.slexchange.com/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=22452&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=135, she lays out her future plans to control the SL economy.

Are we to expect more of this with big business coming in? Hellooooo Walmart!!!

With all of your corporate sponsorship, that should drive the Ls down in value.. may not be so bad at first, but this is terrible on the SLEconomy...

I am always quite amazed why the contenc of Linden's messages is often interpreted in so many different ways.....
Anyway, what good is SL for if ne can not log into which grid ever like just now again...

@Amanda: You are right in at least one respect: LL's performance on the communication front has not been stelar for a long time; there are efforts here and there but it never seems to be enough. The flood of market speak that has crept into the vocabulary over the last year or so hasn't helped either; abolishing the market-eese for honest English would be a good first step.

When i worked for a small dialup ISP in Texas, the owner did the same thing..He pushed how "pretty" his ISP was,but the poor suckers who paid for the service and the poor saps who worked the phones listening to the saps who paid, knew the real story..today, that company is defunct, sold to PeoplePc..I hope LL doesnt go down that path
