[RESOLVED] Group IMs are working again

[7:38 PM PDT] We’ve been watching, and group IMs are working as expected again. We traced the problems to simulator nodes with incorrect timing, and a bloated dataserver process which we restarted. Shortly afterwards, the crisis was averted. Thank you for bearing with us during this stretch, and thanks to the Residents who helped us test what was going on.

[7:22 PM PDT] Group IMs are starting to work again…

[7:03 PM PDT] Hang tight, our engineers are continuing to focus on this issue, busy combing through logs and figuring out routing. Logins were down for a moment but are working again. It appears that if group IMs were working for you before, after a relog, they will not.

[6:21 PM PDT] Still working on this. On the off-chance group IMs are working for you, please post the region you’re in.

We’re currently experiencing a problem inworld with group IMs not working — instant messages sent in a group session aren’t being displayed to the sender. We’re investigating right now…

    Gesh I hate when IM does not reach when its suppose to. But then again this has been a occuring for years now. Lets hope its FINALLY FIXED!

    I’m seeing all IMs not working, ,not just groups. Currently in Zebulon if that helps.

    Glad to see open comments! Group IM working in Sumedho at 11:15pm SLT.

    On a performance note … each and every time I finally decide to pay the monthly fee and buy a sim … Second Life has more problems, to the point I can’t receive money/sell products for days (or teleport to the land I want to buy). Which makes me decide not to buy the land. True story! It’s a conspiracy *winks* Or an omen?

    well although group IMs arnt working for me now, I WAS able to start and talk in a group IM earlier about a hour ago. And the Region was Mythos Prometheus. :)

    It appears that if group IMs are working for you now, if you relog, they won’t anymore. We’re continuing to go through logs and backtrack through what happened this evening.

    I reloged about 30 mins ago. yes they were working before i reloge but since then they havnt. if there is anything else you need to know or anything I can do to help let me know :)

    Well this isn’t very helpful because Concierge is closed, my mainland sim is having massive issues at the moment and theres no way to contact anyone in regards to them.

    The Lindens need to implement some kind of 24/7 Concierge service cause for the money I’m paying I should be able to contact SOMEONE right now and I can’t even do that.

    @Suzanna: Concierge is expanding their presence towards 24/7, including the development of the Linden Estate Services region. (I just checked with Dee from the Team!)
