Grid issues recurred and are on the mend

[UPDATE 6:17pm PST] We are currently conducting rolling restarts of regions in order to ameliorate the asset queues which should hopefully solve most of the issues we’ve all been contending with. You should be able to access your inventory now. Thanks everyone for hanging in there today and for your continued patience and understanding as we grow. -Jean

[UPDATE 4:35pm PST] It looks like we had a faulty piece of networking equipment that was difficult to identify and we have taken it offline. Some simulators will still experience some of the earlier issues (due to stuck asset return/uploading queues) and we are still working on it but some issues should subside. -Jean

Some of the in-world symptoms may include the inability to log in, group IM’s not appearing, teleport failures, failure to rez items, L$ balances not displaying, high packet loss, and other symptoms. We appreciate your patience and understanding! -Jean

[UPDATE: 9:08am PST] Our techs are hard at work isolating the cause of the current network issues. Whilst investigations are underway, please continue to refrain from performing asset-related activities such as moving items to/from your inventory. We’ll continue to update the blog with further details as they come to hand.

[UPDATE 7:15am PST] We’ve seen a repeat of the network-related issues from last night return. This may affect avatars remaining inworld after a logout, group IM’s not appearing, teleport failures, failure to rez items, L$ balances not displaying, high packet loss, and other symptoms.

We’re actively investigating the issue and will keep you updated as frequently as possible. Thanks for your patience whilst we investigate.
