Here is a simple "camera override" script that you can tweak a bit. Toss it into a attachment, and put it on. Sorry for the lack of comments, but it should be pretty understandable.

Awesome movie Ben, and thanks for the script, it really helps out. I’ve been toying with it and adding onto it since.
Question, how did you do the rooms thing? I’m guessing by having it detect when you entered the room and then sent the params to an attachment?

Ben, that’s the closest I’ve come to feeling drunk in SL. Lol. You should sell that script at clubs.

Camera scripting is certainly fun, but what i would like to know is if there is a possibility to script a path, for instance through a building for the camera, i tried to do this, but didn’t succeed.
It would be great for a nice stable video!

ok i can answer my own question: yes possible!

for steering camera from arrows on keyboard mind the control permissions: http://slhomepage.com/lsl/llTakeControls.htm
but combining controls and camera parameters, the camera is freed and can follow a path
